4. Location Data

Location data is central to the App's core functionality. Here is how we handle it:

When we collect location data: Only during an active run-tracking session that you manually start.

Background location: The App uses background location services so that GPS tracking continues accurately even when the App is minimized or your screen is locked during a run. This is necessary for accurate pace and distance calculations.

When we stop collecting: Location tracking stops immediately when you end your run session.

How it's stored: Your route data is saved as part of your run history in your account. You can delete individual runs and their associated location data at any time.

What we don't do: We do not sell your location data, share it with advertisers, use it for behavioral tracking outside of run sessions, or collect location data when the App is not actively tracking a run.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, which uses industry-standard cloud infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6.1 Future Social Features

We plan to introduce optional social features in a future version of the App (such as sharing achievements, following other runners, or joining groups). When these features are released, this policy will be updated to explain what data is shared with other users and how you can control your visibility. Social features will always be opt-in — your data will never be made visible to other users without your explicit action.
